Infield Pop-Up Caught

The batter hits a lazy pop-up that drifts over the infield. The fielders converge underneath it, one of them takes charge, calls the others off, and catches the ball. This is the fate of roughly 99.9% of infield pop-ups, and it simply means that the batter is out. The runners on base will need to tag up, and given that the ball is still in the infield, it’s fairly unlikely that those runners are going to even attempt to advance.
